"Gravy's records will never play on Hot 97 again," radio presenter Funkmaster Flex announced during his nightly mixshow.
"That goes for any artist that gets into an altercation. Whether it's your fault or not, your songs will not play... I'm sorry, Gravy!" Flex is quoted as saying by Vibe Magazine. 
Flex also commented that the station should have made the same decision for rappers 50 Cent and The Game. In 2005, when a member of The Game's entourage was shot outside of the station during a feud between the two rappers, both artists were banned from making future station appearances, reports the magazine.
Gravy's shooting marks the third act of gun violence involving Hot 97 in five years.
