Index on Censorship, Britain's leading organisation promoting freedom of expression, will publish a special theme issue on music censorship – 'Smashed Hits 2.0' – on 8 September. The issue is produced in collaboration with Freemuse.

Freemuse receives grant from The Sigrid Rausing Trust
The Sigrid Rausing Trust has awarded a grant of £50,000 for the next year to the work of Freemuse. The grant comes at a crucial time for Freemuse, says Marie Korpe, Freemuse Executive Director.

EU policy library refers to Freemuse Visa White Paper
As festival organisers and artists continue to face various visa problems, the Freemuse White Paper 'Visa / the discordant note' has been included in the official Policy Document Library of the European Commission.
